Curtis Loftis – S.C. Treasurer

March’s keynote speaker is State Treasure Curtis Loftis. First elected in 2010, he is currently serving his third term as State Treasurer.
As Treasurer, Loftis serves as the “state’s banker,” managing, investing and retaining custody of more than $55 billion in public funds. He also serves as administrator of the state’s Unclaimed Property Program, Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan and Palmetto ABLE Savings Program, which provides eligible individuals with disabilities the opportunity to save and invest money while maintaining eligibility for important needs-based benefits.Loftis is not only a state-wide elected official, he is an activist within the Republican Party. Loftis is known for advocating for transparency and accountability in government. He was one of the first elected officials to “jump on the Trump Train” during the 2016 presidential primary.
